Pangram Finder for Spelling Bee Hives

A pangram is the prize of the hive. It uses all seven letters at least once, and it is worth its length plus seven points. This finder shows only those words.

How to use pangram finder

  1. Enter the seven letters.
  2. Read the pangram count in the header.
  3. Open the list only when you want the words themselves.

How to spot a pangram while you play

You already know all seven letters. A pangram has to spend every one of them, so it is usually one of the longer words. If the hint totals say the hive has a single pangram, it is often a word you can build by forcing the rarest letters in.

Letters like J, Q, X and Z show up in few words. If one of them is in the hive, the pangram almost certainly contains it, which cuts the search down fast.

Pangram versus perfect pangram

A normal pangram may repeat letters. DRUMMING, in a sample hive with center I and outer letters D, G, M, N, R, U, uses every letter and repeats M. It scores 8 for its length plus 7, so 15.

A perfect pangram is exactly seven letters and uses each hive letter once. They are uncommon. The perfect-pangram page explains how to filter for them.

Let the finder confirm, then go back and play

If you want the cleanest experience, note from the hint header that a pangram exists, hunt it yourself, and only then open this page to check. The AI coach can talk about letter shapes without naming the pangram if you ask for a nudge instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can a hive have more than one pangram?

Yes. Some hives have several. The count in the header is the number in the dictionary you have loaded.

Do repeated letters disqualify a pangram?

No. Repeats are allowed. What matters is that each of the seven letters appears at least once.
